Effective July 2026 Every report is read by a person
Rant about days, not people
Your boss, your ex, the driver in the closed lane — fair game as characters in your day. Naming them, doxxing them, or posting anything that lets a reader identify a private person is not. Public figures acting publicly are commentary; your coworker is not a public figure.
Respect the signature
Aliases exist so people can be honest, not so they can be cruel. Don’t try to unmask anyone, don’t announce guesses about who an alias is, and don’t use your own alias as armor for harassment. Anonymity is a courtesy the whole room extends to itself.
Honor “just listening”
When a poster marks a rant just listening, replies that fix, lecture, or debate get removed — react instead. Advice belongs only under advice welcome, and even then: the reply you’d want at 6 pm on a Wednesday.
No cruelty, no hate
Hate speech, slurs, threats, mocking someone’s rant, or piling on a stranger’s bad day gets removed on first report — no strikes, no appeals theater. “Unpopular opinion” is a reaction for disagreeing with a take, not a license to be vicious.
If someone is in danger
Venting about a hard day is what this place is for. If a post reads like someone may hurt themselves or others, flag it — a moderator reviews those reports first. If that’s you: the rant can wait, and a local crisis line can’t.
No spam, no selling, no farming
No ads dressed as rants, no link drops, no engagement bait, no bots. There are no metrics here to farm anyway — posting limits slow the rest down, and reports take it off the page.
Reporting, and what happens next
Every rant and reply carries a flag this link. A person reads every report. Outcomes are simple: the content comes down, repeat offenders lose the press, and reporters are never revealed to the account they reported.
